Archangel again, but just take a look!

Archangel has flowered again and appears to be enjoying our summer heatwave in Blighty.

It's not an exaggeration to say that on form she's a Rolls Royce of a Brugmansia, and has a classic shape and form .

Has she any faults, yes ! The leaves are less than perfect, but who's looking?

Like abit of colour..how about this!

This is a seedling that I've grown out from my friend in France, Didier.
The cross is Aube Sanguine x Zumba and the result is good..very good.
So good that I've lodged it with Brugmansia Growers International to register the name for my late father.

But until then, put on your sunglasses because it's bright.

Aube Sanguine x El Dorado 1...

Currently I have three of this cross, courtesy of my dabblings with a cotton bud.
This particular seedling is what they call a shape shifter, and due to the hotter than average temperatures  it is making small blooms but with a more compact shape.

And she's very photogenic..

7 seedlings ..and the pick of the crop!

I've already mentioned a brugmansia called M.E.W of which I am now happily growing in my garden, but this was only because I lost two years with a combination of killing cuttings with kindness and the odd parcel being lost by our mutual postal services. So when my friend Dan said he had crossed M.E.W with his other beauty called Marley, I was only too happy to snaffle some seeds and grow them on in the hope that they could be M.E.W like.

So I did, and grew 7 seedlings which survived my overwintering and one in particular that had real promise, the others pretty nice too.  So let me introduce you to Codenamed MEW Little Beauty , as it has flowered this year and is even better.

She also does film premier like photo's too

She as smells as good as she looks, a sweet talc scent . I'm hoping to register this soon, but am waiting for my friend Dan's input as it was his cross.

A new addition to the family..Stevie's Wonder

I've been lucky enough to have some good results with some crosses and have named them after my family.

I wasn't sure that my brother would even like a Brugmansia named after him, but it turns out he quite happy about it. So I'm really proud to name this cross of Buddy x Dola Goldentrumpete for my brother.

So here's Stevie's Wonder.

The name makes us smile just as much as the Brugmansia which is  a cracker in its own right. It comes from the same cross as Angie Leigh and another called Joan's Surprise of which are both doubles. I'll post when they are flower.

This one though as you can see is a single , it has great tendrils/twangers  and a strong scent.
Very happy to welcome Stevie's Wonder to the collection.
