Joan's Surprise illuminated

Again, wondering around the garden in the evening winding down from work.
Seeing blooms like this remind me just why I grow them

William George..just because!

I put this on here just because I happened to of been wandering around the garden with my camera and saw WG backlit by the evening sun. Think my dad would of been pleased with this Brug

Sarah S..what colour?

Sarah S has me constantly  puzzled about what colour she is..
What do you think?

Apart from that dazzling colour, she has great form and a spicy marzipan like scent to enjoy

L.B.G

L.B.G or to give it its full name , Langenbucher Garten is a dazzling yellow to bright orange with a glorious citrus scent.
Its one of those brugs that you must grow high to get your nose under as the bloom faces downwards.

Its was one of the first brugmansia I was given and years later she's back in her original spot in the raised bed and has rewarded us with some early blooms

Just look at that bloom. I'm mad about Aurea singles, but this is a huge reason to love a double.

A cross from Lucifer..Why of course I'll call it Damien

Remember the film  The Omen ?  and the devil's son reborn.

Fear not it's just a Brugmansia, from a cross from Lucifer. So naturally I call it Damien.
I don't think  I'll register it as its just too much like its parent, but I really like it's Ivory colour and poise.

DS William George..a tropical burst of colour

DS  William George named for my Dad is out and adding zing in the garden

Truthfully, it is only just getting started with its colouring. The hotter it is, the hotter the colouring.
